The American Red Cross provides a vital communication lifeline between military service members and their families by relaying urgent information in times of emergency.

Whether it is a family crisis, a death in the family, a financial emergency, or a joyous birth, the American Red Cross can relay the information to service members stationed anywhere in the world.  The American Red Cross is uniquely equipped with the latest technology to provide an exclusive, around-the-clock 24 Hour communications and emergency support network. For the American soldier and his or her family, the Red Cross is the connection to home.

Nobody ever said being in the military was going to be easy – for yourself or your family. Adjustments have to be made. Problems will arise. The good news is that the American Red Cross is here to help you and your family. By calling us, you will access a wide variety of services available to both military members and their dependents, for both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Our Network of Military Caseworkers
Volunteers and paid staff of the American Red Cross form a vast network of caseworkers in order to provide our 24 hour non-stop military communication services.  Services are provided at over 1,000 Red Cross Chapters and Stations in communities across the nation.

Help Yourself by Planning Ahead!
If you are a service member and know you are going to be away from home, be sure several family members are aware of the Red Cross services we provide and how to access us.  Most important, be sure you leave your Social Security Number and full Military address (i.e. Unit, battalion etc.).  You never know when you may need our services.

Eligibility
American Red Cross Emergency Services are available to all active members of the armed services as well as to their families. Both active duty and community-based military can count on the Red Cross to provide emergency communications, emergency financial assistance, counseling, veteran’s assistance and aid in the field where Red Cross workers are deployed to serve with America's military.
